How do I transfer my domain names from GoDaddy to ServerGrove?

If your domain name is registered with GoDaddy, use the following instructions to transfer it to ServerGrove:

1) Go To the url below and Click on Log in to My Account:

2) Go to All Products and Click on My Account:

3) Look for DOMAINS and click on the green ‘Launch’ button at the right

4) You will see a screen that lists all of your domains, click on the one you need to transfer:

5) A Domain Settings screen opens:

6) At the bottom you will see “Authorization Code” and an “Email my code” Link.
Click on it to get the EPP code emailed to you.

IMPORTANT

Once you receive the “Authorization Code (EPP Code) from GoDaddy you must email it to ServerGrove so we can start the Domain Transfer process.

NOTE

What to do If your domain is ‘Transfer Locked’:

GoDaddy automatically keeps your domain names locked at the registry level to keep them secure.
Locked domain names cannot be transferred to another registrar or account.
When you make changes to a domain name’s settings, such as updating nameservers or contact information,they automatically unlock and re-lock the domain name.
To transfer your domain name, you must MANUALLY unlock it.
Allow up to 15 minutes for the change to complete.

To Lock or Unlock an Active Domain Name
1. Log in to your Account Manager.
2. Next to Domains, click Launch.
3. Select the domain name(s) you want to modify.
4. Click Lock, and then select On or Off.
5. Click Save.

To Unlock an Expired Domain Name
1. Log in to your Account Manager.
2. Next to Domains, click Launch.
3. From Domains, select Expired Domains.
4. Select the domain names you want to unlock.
5. Click Lock, and then select On or Off.
6. Click Save.
