Some of the contact information you provide when registering a domain name has to be made available through a service called WHOIS. This is a requirement imposed by the regulatory body that oversees domain name registrations, and simply discloses the names, physical addresses and the email addresses of the persons responsible for the domain (technical and administrative contacts).
However, if you have a need for additional privacy, we offer a service called Domain Protection. This service works by replacing your contact information with the contact information of the privacy service provider if someone performs a WHOIS search for your domain.
Please note that this service simply adds an additional level of privacy and will not shield you from having your information disclosed in the event of a law suit, or court order demanding it.
